It's to the point that I'm maining a pistol, because the fire/reload speed and accuracy are all so much better, that it's FAR out-DPSing my shotgun, which fires 3 shots which mostly miss. I was at 'point blank' and my explosive rounds somehow went through the enemy. It's too inaccurate to hit anything more than a few feet away, flying enemies are completely impossible to hit. I LOVE their pistols on explosive characters, like Axton, but the shotgun just feels. Right now, on my level 12ish Claptrap, I'm running with a Torgue pistol and Torgue shotgun alongside a cryo slam. My Aurelia HAS a cryo SMG and explosive pistol, but she still prefers a sniper in most situations, you know? I know there's nothing stopping me from doing all 3, but I know a lot of players typically have a gun they 'main'. Would gain the full benefit of all the fire rate and reload boosts, would synergize well with Coincidental Combustion, and would possibly benefit from Hyperion Punch. A cryo SMG, laser or AR to freeze enemies, a Torgue weapon (I prefer their pistols) for the shatter, or even just a grenade or slam.
